It's fun to think about how to take a common subject and present it in an unusual way, either by viewing it from an unexpected angle or including other elements in the composition . These barn shots were all taken near the New York/ Massachusetts border.
I am passionate about photography. I find joy in the unique combination of light, color, line, and pattern that I capture as I look through the lens. Photography builds on serendipity; I am challenged to create from what the environment provides. I photograph to express my experience, to attend to what I might otherwise miss, and to connect with others.
Macro photography, landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, as well as images portraying the variety and universality of human experience, all appeal.
I’m using this blog to explore juxtapositions, pairing photos that have something in common and something different; themes and variations; different angles on an idea. Hope you enjoy.

Ellen,
Thx for tip on how to comment. These put me in mind of the "Bridges of Madison County" even thought they are barns.
I flet "Autumnal" looking at them and had me looking forward to my favorite season
Thank you - these do feel more autumnal, especially compared to the summery flamboyance of the butterflies.
